The Create Request represents a request to setup a Legitimate Relationship between a patient and a Health Care Professional or Workgroup.

Time Stamp. The Date and time at which the Legitimate Relationship will have its status changed to other than 'active'.

The DateTime datatype flavour is used to carry this information as follows:

  • Format: YYYYMMDDHHMMSS
[1..1] reasonCode (CV {CNE:LRType} )

Indicates the type of LR to be created.

The Coded with Code System datatype flavour is used to carry this information as follows:

  • The code attribute will contain a value from the list of codes in LRType vocabulary.
  • An OID identifying the coding system from which the code is derived.

Where the LRType is 'GRANT', Author URP id and/or workgroups must be present.

A heading for providing a link to the subject involved in the LR record.

Indicates that the role is either the Health Care Professional or the Workgroup of the request.

The information held in the LR record is about specified patient. The patient does not have any direct input into the record itself.

Full details of the workgroup involved in the LR.

The ID attribute within the 'OrganizationSDS' entity is required for this data element. It denotes the workgroup identifier.

  • the extension contains the actual identifier.

 The Optional AGENT Class Identifier and Code may be ignored in this instance.

Full details of a health care person and role profile are available from SDS.

Both the Class of Agnt and PSN are required.

The AGNT Class consists of an SDS identifier that uniquely identifies the Role of the Person.   This is carried in the following way:

  • The root attribute shall contain an OID with the value 1.2.826.0.1285.0.2.0.67
  • the extension attribute shall contain the SDS Role Profile ID

The PSN Class an SDS identifier that uniquely identifies the Person.   This is carried in the following way:

  • The root attribute shall contain an OID with the value 1.2.826.0.1285.0.2.0.65
  • the extension attribute shall contain the SDS User ID

With the exception of Self Claimed relationships, the user generating the request to create the relationship may or may not be the same person as the user involved in the relationship.

If the LRType is GRANT, Author URP id and/or workgroups should be present.

Full details of the accredited application generated the request for the creation of the LR. Details are available from SDS. The details shall be carried in the following way:-

  • The root attribute shall contain an OID with the value 1.2.826.0.1285.0.2.0.107
  • the extension attribute shall contain the SDS Device ID
  • Present when the message is issued automatically by the application as a result of a business process.

    The definition of System-id for this purpose is "An individual application running upon a server. Where there are multiple (n) applications running upon a single server, then there shall be considered to be n systems.

    The Optional AgentDeviceSDS Class Identifier and Code may be ignored in this instance.

    Where the LRType is either codes 'GRANT', 'EXPRS' or 'SLFCL', a standard reason for access must exist.

    A indicator denoting that an Alert is required to be raised with the appropriate authority for administering LRs.
