Description |

BugzillaIssue no 14741 raised by Martin Tallis
Choose and Book messages currently allow the Patient to be identified by one of three types of identifier: "NHS Number", "Temporary NHS Number issued by NHAIS", and "PDS Allocated temporary NHS Number".
The NHS mandates the use of the NHS Number. NHAIS Temporary Numbers are being phased out and need not be used for Choose and Book. PDS Allocated temporary NHS Numbers do not exist; the OID is deprecated in the OID Catalogue.
Amend the message definitions to enforce the use of the (new) (10 digit) NHS Number with OID 2.16.840.1.113883.2.1.4.1
This change applies to messages: Request Service Request Appointment Confirmation Referral

CTT Resolution and Current Status |
|||||||
Have e-mailed Martin to check which MIMs we are talking about. Response from Martin 11-Oct-2005:
This is not an 'urgent' change, in that I understand that no temporary or old numbers are being used by C&B currently anyway. I therefore do not expect that it needs to be done in the MiM 3 series which is now under the bridge. I would like it changed in the MiM 4 series if possible, but certainly in any later MiM. We should target a MiM that allows this to be in a test cycle with other changes to Choose and Book. I am not close enough to it to know what that means in terms of MiM versions.
