X4.1. Link Set

The following table describes the use of link set (LinkSet) to represent the relationships between components within a record.

The Link set exists within a composition and relates record components that may be part of the same composition or in several different compositions.

A link set is used to represent a set of entries linked under a problem or topic name. The "owner" is the problem name and the "members" are entries in the record pertaining to that problem.

[1..1] classCode (CS){ Fixed="OBS " }

 Indicates that this is an observation of a link between the members of the set.

[1..1] moodCode (CS){ Fixed="EVN " }

Specifies that the LinkSet represent an actual event (i.e. the act of linking together the set).

[1..1] id (II)

An instance identifier of this statement represented as using the Identifier Global flavour of the II data type.

[1..1] code (CD) {CWE:EhrLinkSetType}

A code specifying the type of link set.

• Link set types include

• Active Problems
• Inactive Problems
• Unspecified Problems

• A problem is a named set which may include components from several compositions.

• Other relationships may be supported in future subject to further discussion with stakeholders

• Any immediate requirements for other groupings of statements can be met by using the code value for "Unspecified Problem" and appending details of the nature of the group using the originalText element of the coded data type.

[1..1] statusCode (CS) {CNE:EhrActState}

Indicates whether the component is complete (current), obsolete (replaced) or nullified (deleted).

[1..1] availabilityTime (TS)

The date and time of that this component became available with its current status.

[0..*] component

A reference to a record component that is a member of the link set.

• Each of the record components that are associated with a particular problem or topic are referenced by the appropriate link set.

[1..1] typeCode (CS){ Fixed="COMP " }

Indicates that the link set member is a simple member of the link set.

[1..1] StatementRef (StatementRef)

A reference to a record component using a unique identifier.

[1..1] classCode (CS) {CNE:x_ClinicalStatement}

Indicates the class code of the referenced statement.

[1..1] moodCode (CS) {CNE:x_StatementMood}

Indicates the mood code of the referenced statement.

[1..1] id (II)

The instance identifier of the Act that represents the referenced component.

• The referenced record component is either present in this communication of which have been previously communicated between the parties involved in this interaction.

[0..*] conditionNamed

A reference to a record component that names or scopes the link set.

• Each problem or topic may have a current name (for example the name that appears in a problem list). This name is provided by the referenced "owner" of the link set.

[1..1] typeCode (CS){ Fixed="NAME " }

States that this relationship type is "name".

[1..1] inversionInd (BL){ Fixed="true " }

Indicates that while this relationship occurs within the context of a LinkSet it is named by the referenced component. This inverts the usual use of the relationship "names" specified by the typeCode attribute.

[1..1] StatementRef (StatementRef)

A reference to a record component using a unique identifier.

[1..1] classCode (CS) {CNE:x_ClinicalStatement}

Indicates the class code of the referenced statement.

[1..1] moodCode (CS) {CNE:x_StatementMood}

Indicates the mood code of the referenced statement.

[1..1] id (II)

The instance identifier of the Act that represents the referenced component.

• The referenced record component is either present in this communication of which have been previously communicated between the parties involved in this interaction.

 [0..1] replacementOf (EhrStatement/replacementOf)

Refers to another instance of a component of the same type which represents an obsolete component which the source component instance revises.

[1..1] typeCode (CS){ Fixed="RPLC " }

Indicates that the source component is a revision of the referenced target component.

[1..1] StatementRef (StatementRef)

A reference to a record component using a unique identifier.

[1..1] classCode (CS) {CNE:x_ClinicalStatement}

Indicates the class code of the referenced statement.

[1..1] moodCode (CS) {CNE:x_StatementMood}

Indicates the mood code of the referenced statement.

[1..1] id (II)

The instance identifier of the Act that represents the referenced component.

• The referenced record component is either present in this communication of which have been previously communicated between the parties involved in this interaction.
