Overview: Health and Social Care Integration Domain Message Specification
The Health and Social Care Integration Domain Message Specification supports the communication requirements of the Assessment, Discharge and Withdrawal Notices Between Hospitals and Social Services Information Standard
It is recommended that for ITK Implementations the Interoperability Toolkit Core specification (downloadable from TRUD) should be used in conjunction with this DMS.
This Specification covers the following Health and Social Care Integration core components:
1) Hospital Discharge Notifications to Social Care
This component covers message specifications for Assessment and Discharge Notifications under the Care Act 2014 and the associated communications between health care and social care.
Also included in this Domain Message Specification are artefacts required to instantiate the message specifications. Some of these artefacts give important guidance for implementors of this specification - for details click on the "Associated Specifications" tab.
Notes:
- Validation tools are now downloadable from TRUD in the "NHS Interoperability Specifications Tooling Pack".
- Within this specification "greyed out" buttons are used where the artefact is either not applicable or currently unavailable.
- All message example scenarios and rendered output are for technical, illustrative and discussive purposes only.
