Distribution Envelope
This document precisely defines the components, elements and attributes of the Distribution Envelope. The Distribution Envelope is designed in a way that it is Autonomous and Transport Agnostic. The Distribution Envelope can also be Compressed and Encrypted as necessary. The payload contained within the Distribution Envelope could be HL7v2 (Pipe and Hat) format, or could be HL7v3 (xml).
